WEW or how I miss GLOW

OK so I went ahead and tossed in the netflix que WEW: Night of Erotic Insanity. Yes its a women's wrestling league...if you can really call it that. Thats like calling GLOW a serious wrestling show I will say this the ladies of GLOW actually seemed to have more talent than this lot. lets break down what occured in this hour of trailer Trash fun.

Match #1
Passion
vs
Jackie Gayda

This match was pretty piss poor. I understand they are a small independent type thing and truely the point of WEW is to see "hot" women "wrestle" unfortunately this match comes up short on both. Seriously I know it sounds sexiest but if women wrestling is your schitck you think you would be able to find women to fit the action. Needless to say this match is over quickly enough to not be too painful. Both women need to work on a little bit of everything but then again it is an opening match and usually those aren't the greatest.
Passion wins by cheating with the old feet on the rope while the "Referee" wasn't looking...(yes I use a lot of quotes cause these terms should be considered loosely)

In between matches they offer to show an "uncensored" clip of one of their feature wrestlers. In this case I have seen hotter action watching the popcorn pop in the microwave. Anyway

Match # 2
Talia Madison
Vs
Lollipop

Again another lack luster match though they seemed to have a bigger crowd now ...or they at least better arranged the audience they had. Of course 99% were men and they got more into yelling in this match only because I think they found the women more attractive. Couldn't really tell who had lesser talent. Both were poor at it but in the end Talia won. Guess she won the coin toss before the match.

Match #3

(a three way match...go figure) Billed as A THree way

Pryme Tyme Amy Lee 335lbs according to the announcer. SHe looked like she could give earthquake a run for his money.

vs

"School girl" Tara Bush....now she was a looker though that appears to be her only purpose. There is a supposed story line I guess where she slept her way to the top...not sure where the top was but I doubt it was no where near her.

VS

Pussy Willow ( come on you had to see it comin) get this she is the head of the Pussy world order...yes folks the PWO. My lord the schtick will not die.)
she of course was accompanied by two other PWO members who sole purpose was to make out during the match I guess. not sure.)

Anyway this match really was also poorly done in all aspects. I mean there are ways to try and sell to the crowd that the two vanilla wafers could defeat the Gigantic Moon pie that was Amy lee but they just didn't do it. There was an ambush with the bell that wasn't bad but it was still poorly executed. This one was painful. The SOmewhat attractive girls making out did not save it. Though at the end they had a "fan" come into the ring area and make out with a PWO member. This "Fan" just happened to be a "fan" "interviewed" before the "show". Yeah considering she was only one of three female "audience" members there was no way she was a "plant". See I warned you about the quotes. Anyway

Match #4

Simply Luscious
Vs
Mercedes Marinez

Now this one had the feel of a wrestling match. These two, I think lucious was in the pros for a while, anyway these two actually give it all and put on a decent match there is a little rope work a number of suplexes and brain busted and a few face plants. Simply Luscious supposedly graduated from the Sean Michaels academy of wrestling. You could tell cause she was decent. So far the most talent two wrestlers in the show. Simply won.

Match #5
WEW heavyweight title match

Angel Orsini accompanied by the General Manager of WEW Francine...yes that Francine. I guess we know who is behind the WEW being around. Not that she was ever that popular in the pros but it was good to see her have work.

Vs
JAZZ accompanied by So Cal Val. Yes that Jazz from ECW and WWE fame and I think a short stint in WCW can't remember . Anyway this one had it all some Mic work, an attempted Moon sault, etc. You could really tell who had the experience. Though Angel did a decent job Jazz really helped her look good. Francine and So Cal got into a cat fight which is always fun. In the end JAzz won fade to Black.

OK so why did I say this made me miss GLOW. well for one , completely sexist reason. The women were more attractive, but more importantly on the whole more talented and at least knew how to work a mic ( in more ways than one wink wink nudge nudge) I kid but they did now how to talk smack alot more than these girls. The WEW announcer was funny for this though. When he was infront of the camera he was talking infront of a bluescreen that had the image of some other place than the one the matches were taking place at. He truely was giving his commentary on over dub. Sometimes he literally said "I don't know what they are doing there. One of his best lines.
"She has a face only a John could love" and also "In my unprofessional opinion if she had not been shaken up she could have covered her a lot quicker." Unprofessional is right.

If the names are referring to the same people, Jackie Gayda was in Tough Enough and worked for Vince for awhile (not very successfully) and Lollipop was a dancer for TNA in the early days of the promotion.

Try the Shimmer promotion.
